Every ACI-approved trainer has been assessed against rigorous competence criteria and is authorised to deliver training for specific certification schemes. Their expertise ensures consistent, high-quality auditor education.
What Is an Approved Trainer?
An ACI-approved trainer is a qualified professional who has been evaluated and authorised by ACI to deliver auditor training courses on behalf of an Approved Training Provider. Trainers are approved on a per-scheme basis, ensuring they have the specific technical competence required for each management system standard.
Trainer approval is separate from ATP accreditation. An ATP must have at least one ACI-approved trainer linked to their organisation for each scheme they deliver. Trainers may be linked to multiple ATPs and approved across multiple schemes.
ACI maintains a register of all approved trainers. Candidates can use this directory to verify that their course instructor holds current ACI trainer approval for the relevant scheme.

ISO 9001 LA

How Trainer Approval Works
The trainer approval process ensures every ACI-approved trainer meets the required competence standards.
An Approved Training Provider nominates a trainer for approval against one or more specific certification schemes.
ACI reviews the trainer's qualifications, audit experience, training delivery experience, and professional development record.
Approval is granted per scheme. Trainers may apply for additional schemes as they build competence and experience.
Approved trainers must maintain their competence through continuing professional development and are subject to periodic review.
